Grind and Seal

Grind and seal sits between a light surface polish and a full mechanical polish. We grind the slab to the stone exposure you want, from a subtle fleck to a heavier, more visible aggregate, then seal it rather than taking it through the extra honing stages a full polish needs. It’s a durable, good-looking finish that costs less than a mechanical polish because it involves fewer grinding stages.

You can choose from three gloss levels: matte for a low-sheen, non-reflective surface, satin for a mid-level sheen, or gloss for a high-shine finish. The sealer can be topical, sitting as a protective film on the surface, or penetrating, soaking into the concrete itself. Topical sealers tend to sit slightly higher in sheen and are common on driveways and garage floors, while penetrating sealers suit areas that need better slip resistance.

Grind and seal is a common choice for driveways, garages, alfresco areas, and internal floors where a full mechanical polish isn’t needed or isn’t in the budget, but a plain unsealed slab won’t hold up to daily use.
